Learning to Fly… All Over Again

Remember when we were kids…. Man, anything was possible. An entire military fortress could be created out of blankets and pillows. The backyard was an endless jungle of adventure, mystery and intrigue. . A mere towel could easily be transformed into a cape that would harness the power of flight. Sometimes I just wonder…. What happened to us? We use to be so much fun… and I often dream about the day’s when I knew that I could fly.

I guess it’s just apart of life. We grow up, get serious, and become practical. But you know what? I’m done being practical. I’m tired of being realistic. I’ve had it with the normal, the status quo, with doing what is expected of me. I don’t want it anymore.

The other night I was sitting at home looking for something to do. I turned on Netflix and started watching a show about other people living. As I sat there I just became irritated. I couldn’t help but think, “why I am I sitting and watching other people live their lives.. Why aren’t I out living mine?” So I shut it off, went to the gym, hung out in the sauna and got to know some new guys who actually could turn out to be friends. Now, that may seem small, but it was a heck of a lot better than sitting watching other people live. I want to live, I want to dream, I want to fly.

Jesus said to a large group of people,“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Here’s the deal, I want to live in the kingdom of heaven, right here, right now, on this earth. And Jesus said it was possible. Well, to do that we have to become like children, we have to believe like they do. We have to learn to fly, all over again.

Remember the Lord’s Prayer: Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done, on earth, just as it is in Heaven.

It is God’s mission for the ways of heaven to invade earth. To turn things upside down. Sounds a lot better than just being bystanders watching others do life doesn’t it?

We’ve got to get back to Neverland you guys. We’ve grown up and forgotten that we can FLY! Jesus said that ALL things are possible to those who believe. We just have to believe.

The world around us is constantly shoving the mundane down our throats. Go to college, get a good job, buy a nice house, drive a great car, take your two weeks vacation, work tirelessly so someday you can have a nice life….

No.

Nope.

Nah-uh.

Not any more.

I want to believe again. I want to play again. I want more out of this life, there has to be more. So dream with me, come believe with me, come fly with me let’s fly! I want to believe for bigger, greater, and louder things that the world has never seen.

It’s time to start dreaming again, it’s time to start believing again, it’s time to fly.

The best is coming for your life,
BP
